Captain Lucas brings a love and intimate knowledge of Chichagof Island and it’s surrounding waters that only comes from a lifetime of living out in these wilds we call home. Born and raised on Game Creek, a few miles outside of Hoonah, Lucas spent all his free time fishing, hunting and trapping in his corner of Alaska. His summers were spent commercial fishing Icy Strait with his dad: longlining for halibut and trolling for salmon. In 1990 they ventured into offering fishing charters as well, and of course, Lucas found it easy to transition to a job that provided an opportunity to share his knowledge of and affinity for all things outdoors.

For over 20 years now, Lucas and his wife Brenda have chosen to make Game Creek their home and raise their 4 children in this rugged, homesteading lifestyle. When not tending to chores that a subsistence life demands, you can often find them roaming the hills or seas on some wild adventure of their own.
